The Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (HNEW) arrested a 28-year-old software professional, Harshavardhan, for allegedly peddling drugs.
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) caught a software professional who was allegedly involved in drug peddling. The police seized 10 grams of cocaine, 11 ecstasy pills and a mobile phone from him.
Harshavardhan (28), a resident of Gajularamaram, got addicted to drugs after his long-time girlfriend cheated on him. He was a regular visitor to pubs and befriended a local drug supplier.
“Eventually, he started procuring drugs from Goa and Bengaluru at a cheaper price. After bringing it to the city, he sold it to people at a higher price,” said Hyderabad CP CV Anand.
Based on a tip-off, the HNEW team, along with the Bollaram police, caught Harshavardhan. He was produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody.
