
The gang had procured marijuana from drug dealers from Bhadrachalam and sold it to consumers in Maharashtra and Hyderabad at a higher rate
Hyderabad: The Task Force (South-West) team along with the Kulsumpura police caught three persons on charges of drug peddling on Wednesday. A total of 160 kg of marijuana, a car and three mobile phones, altogether worth Rs 48 lakh was seized.
The arrested persons are G Heeru, P Raju and D Maqbul Saab, all from Warangal district.
Police said the gang which is involved in similar offences in the past, had procured marijuana from known drug dealers from Bhadrachalam and sold it to consumers in Maharashtra and Hyderabad at a higher rate and made easy money.
Based on a tip-off, the trio was caught when smuggling drugs in a car into the city at Kulsumpura.
