The arrested Sushil Kumar and Palukuri Deepak, were sourcing the MDMA drug from one Praveen Singh, who is staying in Bengaluru, and selling it here in the city.
Hyderabad: The Excise and Prohibition Department Task Force arrested two persons who were allegedly in possession of MDMA drug and seized 27 grams the contraband from them on Sunday.
According to the officials, the arrested Sushil Kumar and Palukuri Deepak, were sourcing the MDMA drug from one Praveen Singh, who is staying in Bengaluru, and selling it here in the city. “Sushil purchased the drug from Praveen for a price of Rs. 3,000 a gram and sold it for Rs. 6,000 to the customers in the city,” said N Anji Reddy, Superintendent Prohibition and Excise Department.
Praveen and two others Ramesh and Charan, who helped Sushil in the business, are absconding.
The officials identified three persons Hithesh, Shaik Mohammed and Bobby, who were regularly purchasing the contraband from Sushil. Legal action will be initiated against them, said the official.
