According to police, the victim woman from Moosapet had approached Provisas consultancy in West Srinivas Colony in August last year seeking an H-1B visa. The consultancy manager Sheikh Azad reportedly told her it would cost Rs 7 lakh. She paid Rs 7.1 lakh in instalments, but Azad allegedly evaded her queries about the visa.
