Hyderabad: A young man allegedly died by suicide after jumping from the VST Steel Bridge near RTC Cross Roads on Friday.
Police identified the deceased as Manoj, a resident of Parsigutta-Ramnagar.
According to Chikkadpally police, Manoj worked at Apollo Diagnostics Centre on Shivam Road and used to visit homes to collect blood samples.
He had reportedly parked his bike on the steel bridge before jumping from the flyover. He fell onto the road and suffered fatal injuries.
Police found a mobile phone on the bike and reportedly recovered a suicide note from it. In the note, Manoj allegedly stated that he was not facing any debts and attributed his decision to a girl he loved.
Police are verifying the contents of the note and investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
The incident also caused traffic congestion on the busy RTC Cross Roads stretch.
