Hyderbad: Members of Sarvejana Foundation interact with motorists at Wipro Junction in road safety drive
In the unique awareness campaign, they were disguised as Lord Yama symbolising consequences of reckless driving
Hyderabad: Members of Sarvejana Foundation on Sunday launched a unique initiative to spread awareness among motorists on safe driving.
Disguised as Lord Yama, symbolising consequences of reckless driving, the Foundation members interacted with motorists at Wipro Junction, Gachibowli and spoke about road safety. To make the junction free from accidents, they implemented various safety enhancements, including solar cat eyes, zebra crossing lines, signature boards, and delineators, to improve visibility and prevent accidents.
The initiative aims to convert unprotected junctions into accident-free zones, with Wipro Junction in Gachibowli serving as the pilot project, Dr AV Gurava Reddy, Chairperson, Sarvejana Foundation and MD of KIMS – Sunshine Hospitals said.
Badminton player P V Sindhu also launched Stop Road Accident mobile app, and emphasised about the importance of traffic rule compliance. Dr B Janardhan Reddy, CEO of Sarvejana Foundation and others were present.
