Hydraa demolishes illegal constructions worth Rs 4,000 crore in Hafizpet, Raidurg in Hyderabad
The properties allegedly belonged to a development group belonging to a political leader from neighbouring Andhra Pradesh
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (Hydraa) on Saturday took up demolition of constructions estimated to be worth Rs 4,000 crore that had come up in around 39 acres of allegedly disputed land in Hafizpet and Raidurg in the city.
The properties on encroached land were in the Sy No.79 of Hafizpet and allegedly belonged to a development group belonging to a political leader from neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.
Several constructions were said to have come up on the land tract despite it being involved in legal issues pertaining to encroachment of government land.
Incidentally, the Hydraa had responded to a complaint from a youngster, who reportedly was denied access to the area for playing cricket.
