IIMC college in Lakdikapul organises ‘Swachhta Hi Seva 2024’ programme on Gandhi Jayanti
The event was attended by the College Principal and NSS Chairman, K. Raghuveer, and former College Principal, Purnachandra Rao.
Hyderabad: In commemoration of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary, the ‘Swachhta Hi Seva 2024’ program was organized at IIMC College in Lakdikapul , under the guidance of NSS and NCC, following the directives of the central government.
The event was attended by the College Principal and NSS Chairman, K. Raghuveer, and former College Principal, Purnachandra Rao.
The program began with the garlanding of Gandhi’s portrait, followed by the release of a book titled ‘Inspiring Thoughts’, which contains Gandhi’s quotes. The book was distributed to all the volunteers.
Speaking on the occasion, the Principal emphasized the importance of everyone participating in the cleanliness drive, not only to keep our surroundings clean but also to maintain cleanliness across the nation.
Following the event, 45 NSS volunteers and 80 NCC cadets, under the supervision of NSS Program Officers E. Ramakrishna and Satyanarayana, as well as NCC Officer Vasanth Kumar, cleaned the college premises, classrooms and the surrounding areas.
Faculty members Vijay and Shyam Sundar also participated in the program.
