Hyderabad: Indian Olympic Association President Dr P T Usha informed on Monday that the IOA took immense pride in the exemplary performance of the country’s young athletes at the recent Asian Youth Games in Bahrain, where they won 48 medals across different disciplines.
Dr Usha said that gold medallists would be given a cash incentive of Rs 5 lakhs each, silver medallists Rs 3 lakhs each, bronze medallists Rs 2 lakhs each, and even fourth-place finishers Rs 50,000 each.
The coaches of medal-winning athletes will be presented with Rs 1 lakh each, and the kabaddi boys’ and girls’ teams will receive Rs 10 lakhs each.
All the medallists will be felicitated along with their support staff.
