Troubles began following the senior Congress leader Umesh Rao’s controversial statement that though there were senior leaders in the party, Sircilla ticket was given to a leader who has always been defeated.
Rajanna-Sircilla: Internal bickering in the district Congress party came to fore once again as two groups entered into argument with each other in the district level party workers meeting held in Lahari function hall in Sircilla on Tuesday.
Troubles began following the senior Congress leader Umesh Rao’s controversial statement that though there were senior leaders in the party, Sircilla ticket was given to a leader who has always been defeated.
Enraged over the statement, followers of the followers of Sircilla constituency in-charge KK Mahender Reddy staged protest and demanded Umesh Rao to leave the meeting hall. Rucks created in the meeting as the agitating party workers rushed onto the dais.
Government whip and Vemulawada MLA Adi Srinivas intervened into the matter and brought the situation under control by convincing agitating workers.
