
Cops seize 7 kg of marijuana worth Rs 2.4 lakh from B Takri, Ghouri Jhara and Dhanarjaya Khila — all from Malkangiri in Odisha
Hyderabad: The Task Force (South-East) team, along with the Afzalgunj police, nabbed a three-member interstate drug peddling gang, including two women, and seized 7 kg of marijuana worth Rs 2.4 lakh at Gowliguda on Thursday.
The arrested gang members have been identified as B Takri, Ghouri Jhara and Dhanarjaya Khila, all from Malkangiri in Odisha.
According to the police, the trio confessed that on the instructions of Sanjay, the kingpin from Malkangiri, they procured the drug from sources locally and came to Hyderabad in a private bus to deliver it to a drug peddler in Mangalhat.
They were nabbed while waiting to deliver the contraband.
Efforts are on to identify and nab other members of the gang.
