Jana Gana Mana goes on floors? Vijay Deverakonda’s soldier avatar might just have hinted at it!
Jana Gana Mana and Kushi are the next two much-anticipated films that Vijay Deverakonda has in the works after Liger. In the Puri Jagannadh directed movie, he will be seen as an army officer. In the wake of Liger’s failure, there were numerous claims that the movie had been shelved. The film’s production appears to be ongoing, nevertheless. Yesterday, Vijay posted images of himself training with Indian Army officers at the Uri camp base to train as a sniper and learn how to shoot.
Vijay Deverakonda captioned the image on the photo-sharing app, “With the Baddest Men on the Indian front lines! #URI.” The film’s announcement in March of this year attracted a lot of interest. During the event, Vijay was spotted descending from a chopper.
Producer Charmme Kaur had earlier tweeted, putting an stop to rumour mills about the project being shelved, “Rumours rumours rumours! All rumours are fake! Just focusing on the progress of. Meanwhile, RIP rumours.” Although she did not specifically mention Jana Gana Mana in her post, it was certainly implied.
When the project was revealed, Vijay Devarakonda was reported as stating, “I am supremely excited about JGM, it’s one of the most striking and challenging scripts. The story is special and it will touch every Indian. I am honored to be a part of Puri’s dream project. Looking forward to working with Charmme and her team. My character in JGM is refreshing which I haven’t done earlier and I am sure it will leave an impact on the audiences.”
Pooja Hegde will play Vijay Deverakonda’s leading lady in the Charmme Kaur-backed film Jana Gana Mana, which also stars Vamshi Paidipally and Puri Jagannadh.
