Jaya Bachchan reveals Amitabh Bachchan is ‘grumpiest’ in front of her friends: ‘He will say ‘I have to go up…’
Jaya Bachchan recently joined Shweta Bachchan on the podcast of her granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda, where she shared some intriguing facts regarding Amitabh Bachchan. Amitabh is quite reserved when her friends visit, and Jaya stated during the chat that he constantly finds an excuse to leave the gathering.
On the podcast, Jaya said, “Your nana is like, he is the grumpiest. He will say ‘I have to go up, excuse me ladies. If you don’t mind and something something. Actually, they are quite happy that he is not there.”
Navya attempted to defend her grandfather by arguing that Jaya’s friends would become conscious of his celebrity status. The seasoned actor said that a lthough they have known him for years, he has changed since then. He is also old and that Navya is aware that you can be old old, and you can be old but not old.
The teasing session that followed saw Navya and Shweta make fun of Jaya for referring to herself as young at heart. In response, Jaya remarked, “Come on, I am not (an old old person). I can sit and have a conversation with an 18-year-old.”
Navya previously claimed that Amitabh, who turns 80 this month, is a big fan of her podcast in an interview with indianexpress.com. She stated, “…he is excited about the podcast. Everyone in the family is always excited and supportive. Everyone does something new. He also enjoyed the trailer and the first episode.”
