Jr NTR and Ram Charan’s RRR shatters box office records in Japan
SS Rajamouli’s RRR was released in Japan on October 21. The film, starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR, is roaring at Japan box office with promising numbers.
RRR BREAK BOX OFFICE RECORDS IN JAPAN
After earning around 1200 crore at box office worldwide, the film is now enjoying a good run in Japan. RRR was released in 209 screens and 31 Imax screens across Japan in 44 cities. It is believed to be the biggest Indian release in Japan.
Director SS Rajamouli along with Jr NTR and Ram Charan were seen promoting their blockbuster film in Japan ahead of its release.
RRR IS THE HIGHEST GROSSING FOREIGN FILM OF THE WEEK IN JAPAN
According to a report in Variety, in a week of its release, RRR grossed JPY 73 million ($495,000). This is reportedly the highest first week collections for an Indian film in Japan. RRR was also the highest earning foreign film of the week in Japan and was ahead of The Bad Guys, Spencer and Jurassic World Dominion.
