Jubilee Hills: Campaigning intensifies as parties turn focus on slums and colonies

With nearly two weeks remaining until the polling date, November 11, for the Jubilee Hills by-poll, parties have expanded their campaign areas every day

Hyderabad: Major parties have almost completed two to three rounds of campaigning in the Jubilee Hills assembly constituency. The focus now is to cover more areas to connect with voters.

With nearly two weeks remaining until the polling date, November 11, for the Jubilee Hills by-poll, parties have expanded their campaign areas every day. Initially, the campaign was confined to three areas, but now the number of areas has increased to between 6 and 10, including slums and colonies. The poll campaign usually starts at 8:30 am and, except for a short time spent on lunch, the remaining time is spent in the slums and colonies up to 10 pm.

These parties launched their campaigns by conducting padayatras, door-to-door campaigns, corner meetings, community meetings and residential welfare associations meetings, joining the rival parties’ supporters and reaching the voters. They are now focused on public meetings. Additionally, the number of campaign vehicles has also increased by the parties, and they have chalked out the schedules. On all the roads and by-lanes in the assembly constituency, the campaign is going at a brisk pace.

In a day or two, the independent candidates will also join the campaigns along with the free symbols.
