Police said Jaya Kumar along with his associates formed an interstate gang of diverting attention by luring victims in the name of supply of original gold at half price and delivered fake gold.
Hyderabad: The Afzalgunj police arrested Jaya Kumar, the kingpin of an attention diversion gang from Karnataka and recovered stolen material worth Rs 40 lakh on Monday.
Police said Jaya Kumar along with his associates formed an interstate gang of diverting attention by luring victims in the name of supply of original gold at half price and delivered fake gold.
Based on a recent complaint, the Afzalgunj police booked a case and arrested Jaya Kumar. Efforts are on to nab his associates who are absconding.
