KCR asks Centre to stop Operation Kagar, calls for peace talks

Chandrashekhar Rao, emphasizing that the operation primarily focused in neighboring Chhattisgarh, condemned the massacre as unjust and “against dharma.” He urged the Centre to halt the killings and instead invite the Maoists for peace talks to hear their concerns.

Hyderabad: BRS president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has asked the BJP-led Centre to stop its Operation Kagar against Maoists and to call the left wing extremists for peace talks.

Stating that the operation, which was majorly focused in the neighbouring Chhattisgarh, Chandrashekhar Rao said the massacre was not right, “no dharma”, and asked the Centre to stop the killing and instead called the Maoists for peace talks and to listen to what they had to say.

Asking the Centre not to go on a killing spree just because it had power, he called upon the gathering to give their applause if they supported his argument.
