
A delegation of temple priests and officials meet the BRS chief at his Erravelli residence to extend the invitation
Hyderabad: Former chief minister and BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao has been formally invited to attend the Maha Kumbhabhishekam at Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Yadagirigutta on February 23.
A delegation comprising temple priests and officials met Chandrashekhar Rao at his Erravelli residence on Friday to extend the invitation. They also requested his presence at the Brahmotsavam scheduled from March 1 to 11.
During the meeting, the temple priests blessed him with Vedic hymns, appreciating his role in the temple’s development. The temple underwent a grand reconstruction under the Chandrashekhar Rao government, after years of negligence in erstwhile Andhra Pradesh.
Chief priest Venkateswaracharya, Deputy Executive Officer Bhaskar, priests Narasimha Murthy and Kiran Kumaracharya, and others were among the delegates.
