Adilabad: The famed Kuntala waterfall in Kuntala village of Neradigonda mandal roared back to life on Thursday, following heavy rains in the upstream regions of Adilabad district.
According to rainfall data from the Telangana State Development Planning Society, the district recorded an average rainfall of 85 mm, with Jainad mandal receiving the highest at 137.7 mm. Several other mandals, including Bela, Talamadugu, Ichoda, Tamsi, Gudihathnoor, Bhoraj and Adilabad Urban, recorded over 100 mm.
Whereas Bheempur, Gadiguda, Adilabad Rural, Indervelli, Mavala, Bazarhathnoor, Sirikonda and Sathnala mandals received between 50 mm and 100 mm. From June 1 to 26, the district received a total of 200 mm of rainfall against the normal 168 mm, marking a 19% increase.
