Lalu’s Prasad’s daughter Rohini Acharya hits out at BJP with ‘washing detergent’ jibe
Amid the ongoing investigation against Rashtriya Janta Dal supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family members in the alleged land-for-job scam, his daughter Rohini Acharya launched a scathing attack on the BJP, calling the party a “washing powder” which removes all corruption charges once a politician joins the saffron party.
Taking to her social media account, Rohini Acharya, who is currently based in Singapore, shared a cartoon of BJP leaders including as Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan, former Karnataka CM BS Yeddyurappa, BJP MLA Suvendu Adhikari and the scams they allegedly have been involved in.
The cartoon indicated that corruption charges had been levelled against these ministers but no action had been taken against them since they switched over to the BJP.
“BJP is that washing detergent, which turns the stain of corruption into whiteness of honesty overnight. Corrupt ministers such as Himanta Biswa Sarma are sitting on the post of Chief Minister today,” she tweeted.
She further said that investigating agencies did not have the courage to carry raids and searches against those BJP leaders, who are facing corruption charges.
“Investigating agencies do not have the courage to carry out searches and raids against BJP leaders. Purpose of the investigating agency is to ensure that corrupt politicians join BJP, or they are sent to jail,” said Rohini.
While Lalu Prasad Yadav and his wife Rabri Devi have been questioned by the CBI in the land-for-job scam, Tejashvi Yadav skipped the CBI summons as his wife is due for delivery.
Apart from the Rashtriya Janata Dal, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi headed by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao also kickstarted a poster war after his daughter K Kavitha was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case.
‘Raid detergent’ posters surfaced in Hyderabad on the day the Enforcement Directorate was questioning K Kavitha in New Delhi on March 11.
