On Tuesday, the Collector inspected the building where the mart would be set up on Sequel Road. As part of the Indira Mahila Shakti programme, the mart was being set up in Khammam to sell products made by rural women in coordination with women’s groups, he said.
He told officials to design a logo and sticker of the mart highlighting Khammam brand. Paintings should be drawn depicting the specialty of the Mahila Mart special. The details of the products sold; the manufacturing process and the story of the woman selling should be documented and displayed next to the product on a flexi.
