On December 23, 2023, when Swapna was asleep Shiva doused the woman with fuel and set her on fire leading to her death
Hyderabad: A local court on Monday convicted and sentenced a man to life imprisonment for killing his live-in partner at Bowenpally 16 months ago.
According to the police, the victim Swapna and the suspect K Shiva were into a relationship for a few years. However, the parents of Swapna performed the marriage of Swapna with another man and she was residing at some other place.
On an occasion, Swapna came to meet her parents at Bowenpally when Shiva came to know about it. He took away Swapna from the house and persuaded her to stay with him. The woman then started staying with Shiva.
However differences arose between them over some issue resulting in fights between them. On December 23, 2023, when Swapna was asleep Shiva doused the woman with fuel and set her on fire leading to her death.
The police on a complaint made by the police registered a case and arrested Shiva. After the trial the court convicted and awarded jail term to Shiva.
