Hyderabad: The Marri Lakshman Reddy Institute of Technology (MLRIT) organised Bathukamma celebrations in the institute premises here on Saturday. The campus came alive with colourful flower arrangements as students and staff sang traditional Bathukamma songs and immersed themselves in the festivities.
College Treasurer Marri Mamata Reddy, along with Director Shreya Reddy, Principal Dr. K Srinivasa Rao, and heads of various departments, participated in the celebrations.
Addressing the gathering, Mamata Reddy emphasised the significance of preserving culture and traditions while fostering academic excellence. She assured that Bathukamma and Navaratri Naveli would be celebrated on a grand scale at MLRIT every year.
The institution is committed not only to imparting quality education but also upholding and promoting Telangana’s rich cultural heritage, she added.
