Mulugu: Tiger’s presence in Bandala forest creates fear among villagers

Forest officials have confirmed the presence of a tiger in Bandala forest. With the confirmation of a tiger in the mandal, the officials have intensified their vigilance and implemented strict measures to prevent any human-wildlife conflicts. Continuous surveillance through CCTV cameras have been set up in numerous locations and warning boards have been installed.

Mulugu: A tiger that was seen roaming in the Pambarpuram and Narsapuram forests a week ago was sighted in the Bandala forest of Tadwai mandal on Sunday. The news about the presence of a tiger in the area triggered panic among the locals.

Authorities are taking steps to monitor the movement of the tiger regularly and are conducting awareness programmes for residents of nearby villages. Forest Range Officer (FRO) Sattaiah warned villagers not to venture alone into the forest for cattle grazing.
