Hyderabad: The Nampally police registered a case against Ghaziabad-based Saint Yati Narsinganand for allegedly making blasphemous remarks against Prophet Mohammed during a program.
The case was booked under Section 196(1), 299, 351(2), 352 of BNS. Congress leader Mohammed Perwaiz Khan alias Rashed Khan had made a complaint on Friday.

Small protest rallies were taken out in several areas culminating in participants approaching the local police stations and making complaints against Yati Narsinganand.
The complaints were made at Falaknuma, Madannapet, Habeebnagar, Golconda, Bahadurpura, Hussainialam and other police stations. The police beefed up security in the city in view of religious meetings in the city coinciding with the Milad-un-Nabi celebrations.
