National Library Week: Event on ‘Children Libraries and Its Importance’ held at State Central Library
On the occasion of 57th National Library Week celebrations, Bala Chelimi, in collaboration with Telangana State Central Public Library and Oxford Grammar School, Himayatnagar, organised an event on “Children Libraries and its Importance” at State Central Library, Afzalgunj on Tuesday.

Vedakumar Manikonda, Chairman, Children’s Educational Academy and Chief Editor, Bala Chelimi, who presided over the meeting, highlighted the importance of dedicated libraries for children. He highlighted the challenges children face in today’s technology-driven and study-intensive environment, noting the lack of time and spaces for play and reading.
Vedakumar underlined the multifaceted role of libraries and described them not merely as reading spaces but as centers for holistic development, where children’s hidden talents are nurtured and flourish, contributing to their overall growth.
All the other dignitaries emphasized the vital role of children’s libraries in shaping the future of young minds. They highlighted that libraries are not just places for reading but centers for nurturing creativity, imagination, and overall development.
