No festive mode in Telangana as Ramzan gifts, Bathukamma sarees stalled by Congress government, says KTR
Says BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao never played politics in the name of religion, treated people of all religions as human beings
Rajanna-Sircilla: BRS working president KT Rama Rao said on Sunday that there was no festive mood in the State anymore as the Congress government had stalled the distribution of Ramzan gifts to Muslims and Bathukamma sarees to women.
Participating in an Iftar party organised at the Shaadikhana in Sircilla town, Rama Rao said BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao had never played politics in the name of religion and treated people of all religions as human beings.
Equal priority was given to the people of all religions. About 40,000 poor minority students were provided quality education in minority Gurukuls. If it was sincere, the State government could do better than the BRS government, he said.
As for the Centre, Rama Rao said it was not respecting the sentiments of any other religion. But, the Chandrashekhar Rao government had respected the sentiments of all religions.
Rama Rao also extended Ramzan greetings on behalf of the BRS and Chandrashekhar Rao to the Muslim community.
Earlier in the day, Rama Rao inaugurated a tea stall established at his own expense for a tea vendor, Bathula Srinivas, in Sircilla town.
