The legislator’s recorded conversation with one of his voters, in which he expresses helplessness in getting funds, is going viral on social media platforms
Sangareddy: “There is no guarantee for any promises made by the Congress government”, this is not a statement from any Opposition party leader, but a confession that came from the ruling Congress legislator P Sanjeeva Reddy.
The Narayankhed MLA’s recorded conversation with one of his voters, in which he expressed helplessness in getting funds, is going viral on social media platforms in the constituency. A voter, who called the MLA on phone recently, urged him for supply of drinking water since most of the villages were struggling due to lack of water supply during the summer. Then, the MLA said that the government will be releasing Rs 2 crore to every constituency in the State to make arrangements for drinking water supply.
When the citizen questioned when exactly the government was going to release funds, Sanjeeva Reddy said that there was no guarantee for anything in this government. When the voter recalled how the MLA had signed a bond paper to fulfil promises made by the Congress during election campaign and his failure to keep the promises, Reddy asked him to come and meet him at his office and abruptly ended the conversation.
Earlier, the voter had asked him to release the funds immediately for providing drinking water when the MLA said that there was dearth of funds. The citizen requested him to release the funds by stopping the salaries to the government employees when the MLA replied that it would not be possible because it would further push the government into problems.
