Following a complaint from a female doctor who was duped to the tune of Rs 10.9 lakh, the Jubilee Hills arrested him from Bengaluru
Hyderabad: The Jubilee Hills police have arrested J Vamshi Krishna alias Harsha Cherukuri (33), a notorious fraudster involved in several cheating and cybercrime cases across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, here on Saturday.
According to the police, Vamshi Krishna impersonated people and used fake identities on matrimonial sites and social media platforms to deceive women with false marriage promises, extort money, and blackmail the victims.
He was earlier involved in 20 criminal cases.
Following a recent complaint from a city-based female doctor who was duped to the tune of Rs 10.9 lakh, the Jubilee Hills police booked a case and arrested him from Bengaluru.
Police recovered mobile phones, fake profiles and transaction records.
