Upset over losing money via a betting app, Koraveni Saiteja consumes pesticide
PEDDAPALLI: Upset over losing money via an online betting app, a youngster, Koraveni Saiteja, died by suicide.
A native of Vilochavaram in Manthani mandal, Saiteja was working in a private diagnostic centre in Godavarikhani. The youngster, who was addicted to online betting, is said to have lost a huge amount of money.
Upset over this, he consumed pesticide on the outskirts of Singireddypalli of Manthani mandal on March 18 and informed one of his friends Motam Saiteja, who rushed to the spot and shifted him to Godavarikhani government hospital.
Later, he was shifted to the Karimnagar hospital where he breathed his last while undergoing treatment on Thursday night. Based on a complaint lodged by his wife Deepika, Godavarikhani two town police registered a case and began investigation.
