Parliament intruders ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’, were unemployed: Aaditya Thackeray
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and Maharashtra MLA Aaditya Thackeray called the Lok Sabha intruders ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi,’ which roughly translates to ‘players of danger’. He said they took such a step because they were “unemployed”.
“Two youths risked their lives and entered the parliament. I will call them Khatron Ke Khiladi. It is not easy to go inside and jump in the well. They risked their lives. I don’t support them, and that is wrong. They raised issues of unemployment, the Manipur incident, and others,” Thackeray said.
Asked about the Parliament Security breach incident that took place on December 13 when two men jumped into Lok Sabha chamber, the Shiv Sena (UBT) leader added, “They took such a step because they were unemployed. Such incidents are very saddening”.
He further said the “question is who issued them the passes”, targeting BJP MP Pratap Simha.
“Are those MPs questioned? We expect an answer from the government. We ask questions, and we get suspended. The first time so many MPs are suspended,” he said.
Thackeray also alleged that the country is “going towards dictatorship,” as he referred to the controversial bill regarding the appointment of Election Commissioners.
On December 13, two men jumped into the Lok Sabha chamber from the visitors’ gallery, shouted slogans, and released yellow gas from a canister, sending shockwaves across the country. At the same time, two others protested just outside the Parliament. Eight people, including the mastermind behind the attack, have been arrested so far.
