Hyderabad: A pastor was killed when the motorcycle he was driving was hit by a rashly driven truck at Uppal on Thursday.
K Joseph (36), a pastor belonging to a church in Korendu in Medchal was proceeding on his bike from Habsiguda towards Uppal ‘X’ road when the mishap occurred.
Police said when Joseph reached near Uppal metro station, the truck belonging to a transport company which was being driven in a rash and negligent manner hit him from behind.
Joseph fell on the road and was run over by the truck. He suffered grievous injuries and died on the spot.
In a separate incident, two persons were injured after their bike was hit by a rashly driven truck at the industrial area in Uppal on Wednesday night.
The duo, identified as Naresh and Raja Ram, both from Rajasthan work as helpers for an aqua company and are residents of Kacheguda.
When they were returning home on Naresh’s bike after work, a rashly driven concrete mixer truck hit their bike. Both suffered grievous injuries and were shifted to the hospital.
The Uppal police have booked separate cases.
