A 21-year-old pedestrian was fatally struck by a speeding motorcycle while crossing the road in Saroornagar, Hyderabad. The police have registered a case and detained the rider.
Hyderabad: A pedestrian died in a road accident in Saroornagar on Saturday night. According to the police, the victim T Ranjith Kumar (21), a native of Warangal district and resident of Uppal, was crossing the road in Saroornagar when a motorcycle struck him at high speed.
The victim sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot. The Saroornagar police registered a case against the motorcycle rider and detained him.
Teenager dies in Jubilee Hills scooty crash
Meanwhile, a teenager was killed in a road accident at Jubilee Hills on Saturday night.
According to the police, the boy, M Dhanraj, a resident of Filmnagar, along with his friend Teja had allegedly consumed liquor around midnight and were riding a scooty.
About 2.30 am, Dhanraj rammed the scooty into a roadside tree at Jubilee Hills Road Number 78 at high speed and was thrown onto the road.
Dhanraj sustained severe head injuries and died instantly while Teja was shifted to the hospital where he is undergoing treatment, the police added. A case has been registered.
