People will trample over YSRC in next elections, says MP Laxman
National president of BJP OBC Morcha K. Laxman.
KAKINADA: Rajya Sabha member and national president of BJP OBC Morcha K. Laxman warned Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy that police repression unleashed by the latter will only result in making his government unpopular.
Referring to the Kavali incident, Laxman said police lathi-charged protesting BJP leaders and even trampled over them. He said people will react to such repressive tactics and, in turn, trample over YSRC in the next elections.
The MP demanded that the government release the arrested BJP activists immediately.
Laxman said that due to a lack of proper infrastructure facilities and disturbed law and order situation in the state, industrialists are not coming forward to establish their units in Andhra Pradesh. As a result, AP has lost business worth lakhs of crores to other states.
The BJP MP accused Jagan of diverting funds allocated for development and employment to welfare schemes. Further, the government has borrowed 5 lakh crore. “Yet, the employees are not being paid their salaries on time,” he pointed out.
On the day, Laxman visited Lord Sri Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Murthy Devasthanam at Annavaram for a darshan of the God and Goddesses.
