Pic: Nicholas Hoult goes bald to play Lex Luthor in James Gunn’s ‘Superman Legacy’

British actor Nicholas Hoult will soon be seen playing the role of the iconic DC villain, Lex Luthor. The actor’s bald look was recently shared by filmmaker James Gunn on his social media handle.

The director shared the first cast photo of Superman: Legacy on his Instagram handle with a caption that read, “After the table read with the #Superman cast. Eve, Mr. Terrific, Superman/Clark, Otis, Lex, producer Peter Safran, Jimmy, Metamorpho, Lois, Hawkgirl, me, Guy, The Engineer all together for the first time! What a wonderful day.”

The photo was posted after the first table read with the cast.

Apart from Hoult, the photo also features actors David Corenswet (Superman), Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane), Skyler Gisondo (Jimmy Olsen), Isabela Merced (Hawkgirl), Edi Gathegi (Mister Terrific), Nathan Fillion (Guy Gardner), Anthony Carrigan (Metamorpho), Mara Gabriela de Fara (the Engineer), Sara Sampaio (Eve Teschmacher), and Terence Rosemore (Otis).

Superman: Legacy will release in cinemas next year on July 11. The film will focus on Corenswet’s superhero character as he comes face to face with his Kryptonian legacy.

Gunn had earlier said that Superman: Legacy will be the “true foundation of our creative vision for the DC Universe,” and that the “primary story most definitely revolves around Superman and Lois.”
