Plane star Gérard Butler calls SS Rajamouli’s RRR ‘insane’
RRR has become a rage globally ever since it was released in 2022. The SS Rajamouli directorial won the first Golden Globes this year for the song Naatu Naatu. Gerard Butler, who will next be seen in Plane, was all praise for RRR. In an exclusive chat with IndiaToday.in, he mentioned that the film has been receiving an ‘insane’ response in the West.
Speaking about Indian movies and their impact globally, Gerard mentioned that he thinks that Indian movies are only getting better and better.
He told IndiaToday.in, “I haven’t seen it (RRR) yet because I’ve been very busy. But this new movie, is it Triple RRR? Oh My God. It looks insane. And I must tell you, people are speaking about the film here, it is getting so much respect.”
GERARD IS ‘EXCITED’ TO SEE RRR BREAK BARRIERS
Gerard Butler further mentioned, “It was so crazy here. It’s an Indian movie and it’s been nominated for awards as well. I could not believe what they pulled off in that movie. I’m excited to see.”
Earlier, Jack Ryan star John Krasinski had praised the movie in an interview with India Today as well. RRR stars Ram Charan and Jr NTR in pivotal roles. The movie has grossed over Rs 1,200 crore globally.
Meanwhile, Lionsgate, in partnership with PVR Pictures, released Plane in theatres in India on Friday, January 13.
