PM Modi invites business leaders to invest in India’s youth

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday co-chaired a business round-table with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

In his remarks, Modi emphasised on the broad-based reforms carried out by his government and highlighted the growing numbers of startups and unicorns in India. He invited German business leaders to invest in India’s youth.

“The event saw participation of high representatives from the governments and selected CEOs from both sides, who engaged in discussions on topics ranging from climate cooperation, supply chains, and research and development,” the government said in its post-meeting statement.

The Indian business delegation was headed by Sanjiv Bajaj, CII president designate and CMD Bajaj Finserv. The German delegation was led by Roland Busch, president and CEO, Siemens, and chairman, Asia Pacific Committee of German Business.
