Mancherial: Police distributed rations to 365 tribal families living in different interior areas under Narsapur village in Thandur mandal as part of a community outreach programme on Saturday.
Deputy Commissioner of Police A Bhaskar was the chief guest of the event.
Bhaskar said the police were always at the forefront in serving tribals residing in remote areas. He stated that the police were striving hard to address challenges being faced by tribals and advised them not to get attracted by anti-social elements.
He handed over 5 kilograms of rice, 5 kg of wheat and 2 kg of tur dal to each family.
The DCP also had food with the residents during the outreach programme. He recalled that police extended rations to 69 families by collaborating with the Robin Food Army from Hyderabad.
