Portrait of astronaut Sunita Williams carved on fig leaf by Sangareddy teacher

Williams, who spent a record nine months in space, is expected to land on earth on Wednesday morning

Sangareddy: A government school teacher, Anuradha Das, has decided to welcome Indian origin American astronaut Sunita Williams, who departed from International Space Station (ISS), in a unique way.

The teacher has carved a portrait of Sunita Williams on a fig leaf. Williams, who spent a record nine months in space, is expected to land on earth on Wednesday morning. Anuradha Das was working as a teacher at government school, Pedda Gopularam in Munipally mandal.
