A lab technician at Srinivasa Nursing Home in Bhadrachalam has been booked for sexually harassing a female patient during her check-up, with an FIR registered under relevant sections of BNS
Kothagudem: Police have booked a case against a lab technician at a private hospital in Bhadrachalam for allegedly sexually harassing a female patient.
The accused, Gunde Shiva Shankar, working at Srinivasa Nursing Home, reportedly acted indecently with the woman and touched her hand, waist, and other parts of her body inappropriately when she visited the hospital for a check-up on September 14.
Based on the complaint of the woman, an FIR was registered under Sections 74 (assaulting or using criminal force against a woman with the intent to outrage her modesty), 75 (sexual harassment), and 79 (causing insult to a woman’s modesty) of the BNS.
