Tension broke out at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal after Telangana Cricket Joint Action Committee members protested, demanding equal representation in HCA. Police took the protesters into custody and shifted them to Uppal police station. No untoward incident was reported.
Hyderabad: Tension prevailed for a while at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium at Uppal on Saturday after a group of people started a protest under the banner of Telangana Cricket Joint Action Committee.
The committee members were demanding that the Hyderabad Cricket Association body has members from all districts and equal opportunity should be given to all cricket clubs.
The police who were deployed in huge numbers outside the stadium took the protesters into custody and shifted them to Uppal police station.
