Bhongir: A person who accidentally fell from a moving train while attempting to board it narrowly escaped death, thanks to a vigilant railway constable at Bhongir railway station.
The episode, which was recorded on the railway station’s CCTV camera, has since gone viral on social media. The railway passenger Jagadish arrived at Bhongir railway station at 8:10 pm on Wednesday with his daughter Ashwini and friend Srinivas.
He had planned to travel by Krishna Express to reach Nizamabad. As the train was already moving on the platform, Jagadish tried to board it hurriedly. Unfortunately, he slipped and got stuck between the platform and the train.
A railway constable who watched Jagadish’s act, immediately plunged into action. He pulled Jagadish up from between the platform and the train, preventing what could have been a major tragedy for the passenger. Jagadish sustained minor injuries but came out safe.
Railway officials and fellow passengers praised the constable for his timely and courageous response, acknowledging his role in averting a disaster.
