
According to the police, after completing his duties, Suresh was returning home when the mishap occurred. He reached Alwal railway station in a train.
Hyderabad: A track man working for the South Central Railway (SCR) died after he was hit by a train when he reportedly was crossing the railway tracks at Alwal on Tuesday night.
The victim, identified as K Suresh (45), was working as track man at the Aler railway station and staying in Alwal.
According to the police, after completing his duties, Suresh was returning home when the mishap occurred. He reached Alwal railway station in a train. At the station, he was crossing the tracks from Platform No.1 to Platform No.2, when a speeding train mowed him down.
His body was thrown away at a distance from the mishap spot. He died instantly due to multiple grievous bleeding injuries.
The Government Railway Police booked a case and shifted the body to the Gandhi Hospital for autopsy.
