Ram Charan meets American filmmaker JJ Abrams, fans say ‘Hollywood project on cards’
Telugu actor Ram Charan is currently in the US to attend the upcoming Academy Award ceremony. On Friday, the actor shared pictures with renowned Hollywood filmmaker JJ Abrams and thanked the latter for hosting him.
Charan captioned the images, “Had the privilege of meeting JJ Abrams today. Thank you sir for inviting me this evening. I’m a big fan of your work. @jjabrams.”
Looking at Ram Charan’s pictures with JJ Abrams, the actor’s fans hoped that the two creative minds will come together for a film. One of the users commented on the post, “Hollywood project on cards.”, while another one wrote, “Excellent…I wish to see u both work together…a treat for fans all over.” Another comment read, “He said in an interview yesterday that he would like to work with @jjabrams.. today he met him.”
Recently, on the podcast Talk Easy, hosted by former film critic Sam Fragoso, Charan talked about his Hollywood debut. He said, “I am open to working in any country where cinema is appreciated and there’s an audience who appreciate your work. Wherever the camera rolls, I want to be there. You can plan toward it and let it happen. We are in talks definitely. The talks are happening but how it would transcend into a movie and me walking into sets… there’s definitely going to be news, and it will come out in a couple of months.”
Ram Charan is currently in Los Angeles where he is promoting his film RRR. The SS Rajamouli directorial is in the Oscar race as its song “Naatu Naatu” is nominated in the Best Original Song category.
