PEDDAPALLI: Ramagundam police have advised people not to believe in rumors being circulated on social media platforms about the possibility of earth earthquake in Ramagundam coal belt area. Godavarikhani ACP Madatha Ramesh, in a statement on Friday, made it clear that there was no earthquake threat to Ramagundam area and advised the people not to believe rumors that tremors may take place between April 10 and 17.
It may be recalled here that the self-declared earthquake prediction handle, Epic (Earthquake Research & Analysis), predicted a quake near Ramagundam between April 10 to 17. It posted a message on its ‘X’ handle. As the message went viral on social media platforms on Thursday, local people panicked.
