Restaurant fails to serve food, UP minister’s nephew allegedly rams car into staff workers

In a shocking incident reported from Bareilly, the nephew of an Uttar Pradesh minister was booked on Wednesday for allegedly ramming his vehicle into the staff members of a restaurant for refusing to serve him food. According to the police complaint, accused Amit Kumar Saxena, who is reportedly a relative of a state minister, abused the staff of a restaurant for failing to serve his friend as the place was already shut.

SP City Bareilly Rahul Bhati said that Saxena first verbally abused after the restaurant staff said no to providing food as the place was closed for the night. He then came back at around 10:30 pm and tried to ram his car into the staff members who were having dinner outside the restaurant. The workers had to run and flee to save themselves.

No injury or loss of life was reported but the car ended up destroying a cot lying outside the food joint.

The Prem Nagar police reached the spot after receiving the complaint but the accused had escaped the spot and is on the run.

A case has been registered on the complaint of the hotel owner Naresh Kashyap’s son Sushant Kashyap under sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Kashyap who claims to be a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker complained that such a treatment is being meted out to him by the member of a minister in the BJP government, adding that he will leave Bareilly.

The restaurant owner said that he tried to contact the minister whose nephew was involved in the incident but he did not entertain him and despite waiting for a long time he was sent on his way and asked to come back the next morning.
