Revenue Minister Ponguleti applauds TDF’s flood relief work in Khammam

Under the guidance of TDF India president Rajeshwar Reddy volunteers distributed food and essential groceries to the poor, who had lost everything in the floods

Khammam: Telangana Development Forum (TDF) has launched its second phase flood relief activities in Khammam rural and Danavaigudem villages, which were severely affected by recent heavy rains and Munneru floods.

Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy kicked off the second phase relief activities and appreciated the humanitarian support extended by the TDF to flood affected families. He requested TDF to continue its relief work, as there was a great need for support.

Under the guidance of TDF India president Rajeshwar Reddy volunteers distributed food and essential groceries to the poor, who had lost everything in the floods. They visited the flood-affected areas, interacted with flood affected victims, and noted down their problems.

The families requested the organisation to supply school stationery, basic medicines, and clothes. They also wanted help with electrical repairs and replacements in their homes as electrical wiring and appliances were damaged due to the flooding.

TDF India general secretary Vinil assured that the forum would soon address their requests and said that TDF was working with other NGOs to speed up the relief activities.

The forum was working in collaboration with its chapters such as TDF-USA, TDF-Canada, TDF-UK, and TDF-Europe to provide relief to the affected families.

Rajeshwar Reddy thanked all the TDF chapters for coming forward to help the flood affected families and the NRIs for making generous donations for the purpose.
