Revenue officials seize hotel where prime suspect in Secunderabad Temple incident resided
Police investigation confirmed that Salman attended the personality development workshop organised by English House Academy under Munawar Zama, Mohd Kafeel Ahmed and others in the same hotel.
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Police have intensified investigation into the temple desecration case reported in Secunderabad.
On Thursday, teams from the Monda Market police and Revenue Department evacuated the guests from Metropolis Hotel near the Regional Passport Office in Secunderabad. Later, the premise was seized by the revenue officials under police protection.
Police said it was in this hotel that the prime suspect Salman Salim Thakur alias Salman along with about 150 other who had came to attend a personality development workshop, was staying.
Police investigation confirmed that Salman attended the personality development workshop organised by English House Academy under Munawar Zama, Mohd Kafeel Ahmed and others in the same hotel.
The police found the hotel premises was rented illegally for running the academic course and had no formal permission. Officials said necessary legal action was being taken against the hotel management for the same and thus cases were booked against its owner. The hotel was seized by the police as the minimum information was not given despite the large-scale meeting.
Police also found that Salman desecrated the temple at Kummariguda allegedly due to the provocative speeches of religious speakers like Munawar Zama, Mohd Kafeel Ahmed and Zakir Naik
While Salman, was being treated at the hospital, the others in the hotel were sent away by the police on Tuesday itself after questioning.
