Ronan Keating has bid an emotional farewell to his daughter Missy, 21, as she headed off to start a new life in Australia.
The Boyzone singer, 45, shared an emotional post on Instagram on Friday to reveal that his daughter is moving Down Under to pursue her dream career in acting.
Alongside the caption, he shared sweet snap of his daughter Missy hugging his youngest children Cooper, five, and Coco, two.
He candidly admitted that his ‘heart hurts’ as he and his family said goodbye to Missy, who he shares with ex-wife Yvonne Connelly, as she jetted off.
He penned: ‘Off she goes. Australia watch out @missyykeating is on her way. Heart hurts so much. We are all going to miss her like crazy.’
The proud father also revealed the sweet nickname he has for his daughter Missy by continuing the post with ‘I’m so excited for ya Moo moo.’
Missy’s brother Jack Keating, 23, who made a brief appearance on Love Island this last year, was also upset about his younger sister’s move, commenting a crying face emoji and a red heart on his father’s post.
Missy’s mother Yvonne was also heartbroken by her daughter’s departure and bid a sweet goodbye post to her daughter on Instagram.
She shared an emotional snap of the both of them and captioned the post: ‘Before Missy moves on to the next chapter in her life, we got to spend the most beautiful weekend with her friends and family and to say our goodbyes before she goes back to London, to get ready for her big move to Australia!!’
She also revealed that Missy had dreamt of being an actress for so long and claimed that she was ‘so excited’ for Missy.
‘You wanted this for so long Missy. What an adventure. We will miss you so much but I’m also SO excited for you.’
She continued to end the heartfelt post with ‘you are a formidable, fabulous, fierce woman and will no doubt make the most of the opportunities that come your way. I love you @missyykeating.’
Missy recently opened up about her big move to Australia when speaking to the Irish showbiz website Goss.ie.
She said: ‘I’m moving to Sydney at the end of the month. I’m really looking forward to it.’
‘I have lots of family in Australia, and there are some great agencies out there for acting. I’m really excited to get out there and start a new chapter. It’s time for a new me.’
Before the move, Missy worked as a model and also starred in the Irish version of Dancing with the Stars earlier this year.
And during the interview, she explained her reasoning for the huge career change.
She said: ‘I’ve always enjoyed acting and put it on hold for the last few years as there’s been other things I’ve been interested in, but looking back, acting has always been the thing I enjoyed the most. It’s what I can see myself doing, hopefully, years to come.’
