Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik to announce divorce after resolving legal issues: Pak media
Tennis star Sania Mirza and Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik might make an official divorce announcement after resolving legal complications, Pakistan-based Geo News reports.
“The couple is not addressing the rumours due to contracts signed with different shows and legal complications,” Geo News said citing sources, adding that Shoaib and Sania have “several contracts to complete.”
Speculations about their separation started doing rounds of the internet after Sania shared a cryptic note on Instagram earlier this week. “Where do broken hearts go? To find Allah,” her post on Instagram stories read.
She also shared a photo with their son Izhaan and wrote, “The moments that get me through the hardest days.”
A source close to the couple told Geo News that Sania and Shoaib have decided to co-parent their son Izhaan Mirza Malik. The source also added that their relationship has been strained several times in the past.
Amid rumours of their divorce, Sania took to Instagram to share a solo picture of herself clicked in a garden.
Meanwhile, Shoaib’s bio on Instagram still reads “Athlete | Husband to a superwoman Sania Mirza.”
Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik got married in 2010 and welcomed their son in 2018. They also celebrated their son’s birthday together in October.
